Dear Student,

I am very strict about fulfilling my obligations as the Tutor, and I expect the same from my students. However, I understand that we are all human beings and sometimes circumstances beyond our control can lead to agreement breakage. In order to make ourselves safe from unpleasant surprises and in order to make the most efficient use of our time, I suggest we stick to the following rules:

CANCELLATION

  1. Both the Tutor and the Student have the right to cancel a lesson with a 12-hour advance notice. In this case no refund will be issued to either the Tutor or the Student.
  2. If the Tutor cancels a lesson without giving the Student a 12-hour advance notice or if the Tutor misses a lesson, the following stated refund will be issued by the Tutor to the Student:
  • 20% if Tutor cancels or misses a lesson for the first time;
  • 50% if Tutor cancels or misses a lesson for the second time;
  • 100% if Tutor cancels or misses a lesson for the third and following times.

If the Student cancels a lesson without giving the Tutor a 12-hour advance notice or if the Student misses a lesson, the following stated percentages of the Student’s tuition will be retained by the Tutor from the Student:

  • 20% if Student cancels or misses a lesson for the first time;
  • 50% if Student cancels or misses a lesson for the second time;
  • 100% if Student cancels or misses a lesson for the third and following times.

                                                                                

BEING LATE FOR THE LESSON

  1. Both the Tutor and the Student have the right to be late for a lesson if the time late DOES NOT exceed 15 minutes.
  2. If Tutor is LESS than 15 minutes late for a lesson, the lesson IS NOT considered missed. In this case if the Student leaves before the Tutor comes, the lesson will be considered missed by the Student, and the above stated percentages of the Student’s tuition will be retained by the Tutor from the Student.
  3. If Student is LESS than 15 minutes late for a lesson, the lesson IS NOT considered missed. In this case if the Tutor leaves before the Student comes, the lesson will be considered missed by the Tutor, and the above stated refund will be issued by the Tutor to the Student.
